He knew he had syphilis and he still filmed, putting others at risk. I don't buy that story of ignorance about STD's when you work in the porn industry.

I am too trusting of people...but I take people's word...Yes, his explanation sounds off but not my place to pass judgement...

He has stated he hopes others will not make the same mistake...And its why I posted this as a reminder to us all that if pros are susceptible and experiencing multiple outbreaks we might all take it as a warning to minimize risks, seek treatment, and not cause others to be infected...

Untreated syphilis is potentially fatal and can lead to paralysis, blindness, dementia, deafness, & impotence. During pregnancy it can be passed to the fetus causing abnormalities as well as death.

Not telling people how to handle their business, just trying to keep this group of seriously sexxxy people educated if nothing else.

I heard about the Mr. Marcus fiasco. It is really hard for me to believe that someone who has been in pornography for over two decades and is in the Hall of Fame has never even heard of syphilis. If he was telling the truth about his ignorance that (to me) is scarier than if he was lying about it.

I heard about Mr. Marcus and he's a done deal with his adult industry. In my opinion, he was lying. He screwed it up by having unprotected sex with somebody he shouldn't have.

Well he had the lesion on his winky; he thought it was just chaffing or something like that and not an infection; he lotioned up his doodad and yadda yadda...

I understand what you are saying, but I also dont see a professional exposing others when its a treatable STD. His career may be over entirely so I just cant see him nonchalantly ignoring it...

We tend to think we are invincible until proven wrong...I havent quite done the same exact thing (as never having had the pleasure of catching a disease) but I know there are a few times I personally didnt make as big a deal as I should have when conducting my business.

I might not "care" for my own health but I couldnt deal with having to tell someone I destroyed their life over a few very lousy minutes...

With 1-in-4 actively infected with the big three (chlamydia, ghonorrhea, syphilis) *high-risk groups* you would be suicidal to not use protection...Count up your history and divide by 4...That's possibly the number of times you have been exposed...It scares the shit out of me...

@SnowWhit3 - pornography is a BILLION dollar industry. It's so lucrative that the industry polices itself quite well because they don't want something stupid happening that messes up the money for everybody. You very rarely hear of under age performers and everyone gets mandatory STD testing on a regular basis. It's been documented that whenever a performed tests positive for HIV the entire industry pauses until all performers are tested. I just find it very difficult to believe that Mr. Marcus could have gone a long time without being told he had Syphilis after a checkup. It's pretty selfish and disgusting to think about this logic - but knowing it was a treatable STD could have been the VERY REASON why he kept performing in the first place.

I watched some of this brothers videos and while I enjoy the action, NO SEX is worth dying for! I believe that if you are going to enjoy this lifestyle, then regular testing should be a major part of your health routine.

My plan it so be fucking until I am old and gray but that won't happen if my package is out of whack due to catching something. Even if you use protection, it does not hurt to get checked out for STD's.

Its like the old Eddie Murphy jokes...sex without protection is like playing Russian Roulette with your cock!

Sno, you are so right in bringing this up as a reminder. We all want to believe others, but paperwork is what counts. Testing, even with safe sex, every 3 months is good for the timing. It may take that long or longer for anything serious to show positive. Mr. Marcus, last I read of the film industry, they are supposed to test weekly since they are going bare, same for the brothels in Nevada. ( I could be wrong, it has been a few years since I have the requirements).

Have fun and stay safe ya'll!.

Quality, not quantity! Hot !

If anyone hadnt heard the latest with Lisa Ann's hepatitis scare...she claims to have almost filmed with someone who doctored a test result...

The APHSS (Adult Production Health & Safety Services) will BEGIN testing for hepatitis B/C as part of their regular screening...

They werent before!!?? WTF!!

bandit5_0 replies on 8/16/2013 6:04 am:
@SnowWhit3 - Hepatitis isn't considered an STD because it's not primarily transmitted via sexual contact. Certain types of Hepatitis are transmitted via blood contact but you can also contract certain types from drinking out of a glass that was shared with or wasn't properly cleaned after someone with Hepatitis used it. If the APHSS is starting regular screening then they are probably addressing drug use since without checking for the drugs themselves.

I STAND CORRECTED: Type B can be transmitted via vaginal fluid or semen and type C is tied to sharing needles with infectious drug users. Type A could also be spread through certain sexual acts like A2M. With that said I also can't understand why regular screening wasn't done before now

Bandit...I am impressed. Very few people would admit when they are wrong...I certainly didn't press the post-button after typing "Thank you for correcting me." You are on another level!
