Yes, there are many profiles that are, at the very least, disingenuous, and at worst, bursting with criminal intent.

Report them if you can.

As a first step, I never communicate with a single woman who is not a Gold member, and even then I'm extremely wary and suspicious.

It takes more than that to determine whether a profile is fake. But whiners are easy to spot.

Those of us who have been here even a short time know so many men complain about all the fakes and scammers. Am I right ladies?

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

Some ways to spot a scammer:

1. The profile sounds like it was written by someone who is barely literate.
2. The profile has pictures of a woman who is model-level attractive, or uses actual pictures of celebrities, porn stars.
3. The profile stats (hair color, race) don't match the picture.
4. The profile makes any mention of "Looking for true love" or "Looking for my soulmate."
5. They instant message or email you, immediately wanting to text or get your non-A F F private email.

You used to be able to comment on the pictures of the fake accounts, calling them out as fakes. That doesn't seem to be an option now, at least it doesn't work when I try to do it before reporting the fake account.

Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.

well, another give away is when they have "selfies" with the phone/camera covering their face but the photo was obviously taken by a professional photographer - and there's not a mirror in the frame, i was going to write another post, but you got it for me!

There are a lot of ways to identify those that are fake profiles, although not foolproof. Still, if anyone tries to get me to visit a site that requires credit cards, or if they ask for points, money, or other things that COST me anything, I have no part of that.
I find the fakes often have very limited pics...often just one. The word "simple" is usually part of their meager introduction. They claim to be "simple women" or they are looking for the love of their lives. No REAL women would say that even if they believed it! LOL

Once you’ve been around awhile or paid enough attention, the fakes are pretty easy to spot. The patterns change from time to time, however there is almost always a pattern to them that helps you narrow down who to spend time messaging. There are lots of women on the site as I have personally met many, and made several friendships. I’m the old days you could meet people in the forums, but those are all but dead these days. Now I’d simply suggest making an interesting profile and have something enticing to say in order to attract their interest. The real women here receive huge numbers of messages, so be different and exciting enough to catch their eye and earn a response. Good luck!

While I do not agree that most women are scammers, I think it is about an even split.

Now with everything that has happened in the last two years, I can understand why a large percentage of women do not want to meet. After all they have their own health and well being to look after.

While I do not hold out hope of meeting a woman of this site, I have in the far past meet a couple, but I didn't measure up to what they wanted.

If you read a woman's profile, she will tell you what she is looking for, or you can see that you know she will not match what you are looking for.

Things have changed in the last two years, and they will never return to anything close to what it was many years ago.

I'm real but I do agree there are a lot of fakes both male and female. You just need to be realistic about your goals and expectations and how you, yourself rate to the equation.

I agree to a point, But remember A lot of people have left the Site. You have Quite a few profiles that have not used in months or years. The pretty woman W/ the covet mask who made a comment seems real to me. It's the ones that IM you that have no Profile pictures that make me suspect. I mean Heck you have confirmed male members that don't have profile pictures.
Then again you have younger Women & Men(Also) who are just looking for a Sugar Daddy or Mama. Just Saying...

I've been solicited twice by prostitutes on this site, and nobody ever wants to talk or skype because it will blow their cover as a man pretending to be a woman in order to scam you out of your money.

I've had the humanitarian nurse scam run on me twice.

Imagine they're so virtuous; how can you not help them out with money to assist them in their humanitarian work!

i had that 1 too! i want to meet you but im in the congo for a year. ummm, then why are you on this site saying you want to meet if you are 3000 miles away. just silly.

It's my gut feeling that it's an inside operation to begin with. Create an illusion for profit. You have to create the illusion of female inventory because next to no real females exist here in the first place. If there is no illusion, then the actual gender ratio is obviously imbalanced and the site plummets. The solution: Create an illusion of female inventory by replacing all of the real female accounts who have left the site by the millions over the years and replace them all with fake female profiles. This sustains the inventory level, adds hope and creates incentive for monetary gain by essentially tricking the population through an elaborate hoax of illusion, games, programming, advertising, marketing strategy, lies, deception and endless hoops of restrictions and limitations we must all jump through in an attempt to gain something that is intentionally not designed to be attained in the first place.
In short, reporting or calling out fakes to the actual perpetrators who are behind all of this seems to be rather silly. They've likely omitted that option altogether as an attempt to censor you to perpetuate their power and hoax, while likely using AI or algorithm programming to filter out key words that you're using as an attempt of your exposure of the fakes.

Fakes are the only thing that keep this site alive and profitable. Otherwise, it would go bankrupt.

LOL. Most guys on AdultFriendFinder define "fake" as not getting replied to. They forget that women here have the same obligations as the men do. None whatsoever. We are not obligated to respond to you if there is no interest just as you are not obligated to send an email in the first place for the same reason. Every member here is on AdultFriendFinder for their own reasons and not just to service the men.

dillonagain replies on 8/9/2021 6:07 am:
no no sweetness, not my point at all, the fake women on here want to solicit the men to "sign up for their special dating website," so they always respond try and get you off site so they can solicit you for money, they never have any intention of meeting which does make them fake, plus they will say they live in 1 area, say philly, and actually live in seattle, or some such nonesense.

Absolutely right! I have screen captured evidence saved of a variety of different fake member accounts / screen names all using the same cookie-cutter word for word descriptions and / or conversations. I have other fakes saved which show how they solicit by attempting to persuade those who they contact with trying to get them to navigate over to a different site by sending web links or by requesting us to register to sites, sign up to their fanclubs, asking for our real names and email address and asking us to send them money. Like I said, not only is this just rumor or heresay, I physically have screen captured conversations like these saved for not only my own proof, but also to blackbook these phonies and to make the community aware of who they are and what's going on. But like I also said, if this is all a seemingly inside job coming from the management of this very site, then who do you actually put on blast, hold accountable or reprimand if we're reporting this kind of activity to a perpetrator???? That's kind of like reporting a crime to a bad cop who has committed the crime you're trying to report. Laughable!

I'd say a yes and a no to your blog comment and cannot take the vote either way.

In a lot of ways, I think your sentences are grouping everyone into one basket. I like to think that there are REAL women and then there are FAKE women on here.

The fake women are the scammers, the solicitors, the catfishers and the ones with their eyes on your wallet and credentials. These seem to be the ones with glamorous professional quality photos up, the ones with perfect bodies, the ones who are complete sluts looking to service every man on site and the ones who are offering up deals that seem too good to be true...because they are.

The real women on here are usually easier to spot. First off, you will probably not get responses back if you are rude and crude in any way when interacting. Their pictures usually look of an amateur level and casual setting. Their profile descriptions usually lay it on the line bluntly and set forth ground rules of compliance and realistic expectation. Their bodies are realistically flawed.

"Guys and girls, we have been here for a while know that, women in particular, post face pics and profess how much they are anxious meet the loves of their lives, are scammers, catfishers, or soliciting something that, ultimately involves taking your money. have you found the same?" - So I would say that you're grouping all women, real and fake into the same basket here. That's just not the truth to the entire picture. All fakes are after some nefarious or malicious purpose and intent. Additionally, not all real women are saints, either. Some of these real women are also after men to bait them for some purpose of self-leverage and gain and that usually means money or possessions, but not limited to other forms of nonsense, such as the whole Ambassador tasks of sending out dozens of fabricated emails to a bunch of men, purposely knowing that you have no legitimate interest in them, tricking, baiting and taking advantage of them so that you earn free tokens. All of these things are morally wrong.
So there is a whole machine at work here. Some real and serious, some fake and malicious and some real who are users.

I disagree at the "women in particular, post face pics and profess how much they are anxious meet the loves of their lives, are scammers, catfishers, etc" part. These so-called "women that you are describing are obviously the fakes. Perhaps you've worded it wrong, therefore I cannot entirely agree with you and cannot take your vote.
