I don't like explaining things to the thick headed. It doesn't seem to matter how simple you make the explanation, they still want to argue something that has nothing to do with what you're explaining. This is time I can never get back.
So here's the deal. Someone posted an article in a group I belong to on FB. The group is in support of law enforcement. The article was about a homeowner who put up a flag on her house. The flag has a Blue Line running through it to show support for law enforcement. For those that don't know, a red line is for Fire/EMS, a gray line is for Corrections and a Blue Line is for law enforcement. Her Homeowner Association told her to take it down because it is racist. WTF?
So I left a comment that said, "what are they gonna do if she doesn't take the flag down? Call the police?" So some thick headed moron tries to tell me that the association can enforce what ever they want because you signed a contract. WRONG!!!!
I have taken and passed a class in contract law and that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I'm not going to explain here why the homeowner can win this battle, but in it's simplest terms.....not all contracts are enforceable. Especially if the contract violates your Constitutional rights. And further, the burden of proving that a flag, that supports law enforcement, is racist is on the homeowner's association. The homeowner only needs to show how the contract violates the Constitution.
Some people are better off keeping their mouth shut and APPEARING stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt.
We live in a country I do not recognize anymore. I wanna go to Iceland!!!

I've been reading articles in the news lately about all these retailers that have fallen on hard times. So many stores are closing and/or restructuring. This ultimately leads to job losses.
The one that bothers me the most is Sears. When I was a , we would get the Sears catalog just like everyone else in the country. We had a Sears pick up place nearby. I have no idea what it's official name was we just went there when they called to tell you your order arrived. You could also go to this place to order appliances as well.
The nearest Sears store for us was about 40 minutes away. So when the pick up place closed, we had to drive to the actual store to shop because the catalog had also gone away.
Then Sears tried to compete with the brick and mortar department stores by rebranding themselves. "Come see the softer side of Sears", that was the slogan. The idea was to get more women to shop at Sears. They were never known for their apparel and should have kept it that way. Then they bought Kmart. HUGE mistake! Kmart should have just been left to die. If you can't compete, just admit it and continue with what you are good at. Now Sears can't even compete with stores like Home Depot or Lowe's when it comes to appliances.
On all fronts, Sears has lost the battle. I read in an article that they believe in order to get back on track financially, they need to get down to 200 stores between both Kmart and Sears. Right now I believe they have around 1400+ stores collectively. Closing 1200+ stores is going to hurt the economy and change the way you shop. If you already live in an area that is depressed, it is only going to get worse if your Kmart/Sears stores close.
I do sort of hope for them to go back to the catalog business. I hate looking at stuff online and seeing the same item listed multiple times because someone is too lazy to proof their work. For me there is just something about that catalog that is more than nostalgia.
Sam Walton's dream made his family rich and destroyed the American retailer at the same time. I'm not a fan of Walmart by any means and never have been. I only shop there if it is a dire need, otherwise I stay clear of that shit hole.

Ghost definition:
Noun: an apparition of a dead person that is believed to appear or become manifest to the living, typically as a nebulous image.
Verb: glide smoothly and effortlessly.
That's what the word used to mean. Now, when you hear the word most people think of someone that is still alive, but has removed themselves from your life without explanation. It usually refers to how men and women treat each other after a few encounters.
Wait, did I just use the words men and women? I meant to say immature males and females. Not to mention low class and no manners. These are the people that have no empathy toward others, often selfish and narcissistic.
I've never "ghosted" anyone before, but I have been ghosted. I guess this is the correct term to use for those that have difficulty with the English language as whole. If you need a trendy term to use then I guess "ghost" is the word.
I'm only bringing this up because I just read someone's complaint about cutting people out of your life completely because it is the healthy thing to do. They used the term "ghost". I'm not sure that was the correct term to use in that case.
When men and women are initially interested in each other they possibly go on a date or a few dates. The term "ghost" would be used correctly if one of them just didn't show up for the date and with no explanation. I don't think it is correct to use the term when describing how you cut a toxic person out of your life. Most likely you have had an argument that left things a certain way. Which would lead to not speaking or seeing each other again for a period of time, or ever again.
I'm not trying to be the Grammar Police, but using the term ghost when referring to cutting a person out of your life because having them in it makes you unhealthy, makes the whole relationship sound trivial. Most likely if you cut someone out of your life there was a significant bond between the two of you that lead to something emotionally unhealthy.
I'm pretty sure that no one wants to use a "trendy" term to describe a significant relationship that has now ended.
I know I would never do that, it's tacky.

He's Gone

About twelve and a half years ago my mom bought me a Rottweiler puppy from the same breeder she had bought her female Rottweiler from the year before. This was my third Rottweiler in my lifetime. Each one had a very distinct personality.
This one I named Logan. He was named after my favorite science fiction movie, Logan's Run. Logan was a very even tempered and friendly Rottweiler. The Vet even said that he had several puppies from that same litter as patients and that Logan was the most well behaved of all of them. I attribute that to me because I know how to train a dog. I've been doing it since I was 12 when I bought my first Rottweiler puppy.
So Logan has been having problems with arthritis for a while now and having difficulty sitting. So today he couldn't get up on his feet without falling over. In fact, he fell against the wall and hit his head and then just stayed in the spot he fell to. So off to the Vet he went. After the Vet examined him, he agreed, it was time for Logan to be euthanized. He was in a lot of pain and nothing was going to take that away. At his age and weight having arthritis and a damaged ligament in his back leg he was not going to be chasing any bunnies out of the yard this spring.
So, in about a week Logan will be joining some other family members that have passed and now reside in the family room in their decorative urns.
These last two years have been difficult with pets. My Mom had her outside cat euthanized and then a few months later she had her female Rottweiler euthanized. Two months ago she had one of her indoor cats euthanized and now my is gone. My one nephew is really going to miss Logan. We had professional portraits taken of the two together. They were basically the same age and my nephew used to say that Logan was his dog.
Another family member gone but not forgotten.

If anyone had asked me a few years ago where my ideal vacation would be, I would have said Belize. But recently I have decided that although Belize would be a great vacation, I can sit on a beach here in the US for a lot less money.
Currently, my ideal vacation would be Iceland. I would love to see the Northern Lights, see some geysers, see where the tectonic plates come together, hang out in the Blue Lagoon and smear that mineral mud all over my skin. I've seen the pictures and videos and think that I would be much happier visiting Iceland than any other place. I like the idea of seeing all these natural wonders.
It seems a little pricey for me though. I looked into booking a trip with guided tours of the country but they charge extra if you are single. WTF? Someone who goes by themselves takes up less room and eats less food so why charge more for a single person going on a trip?
Maybe someday. At least it is something to look forward to and work toward.

I'm not reading anymore email on this site. It is time wasted that I can never get back. If you had to pay every time you sent an email to someone, would you take more care in what you wrote in that email? I should hope so. That is all I can say about that right now.
I feel like Elaine and Jerry when they are complaining about "people". Jerry says, "I know, they're the worst".

We Have Been Spoiled

This whole winter in the Northeast has been very mild. I'm not complaining about the mild weather. I would rather it be mild than cold and snowy. No Polar Vortex this year!. It was very nice on Thursday, but I spent most of the time in the car traveling to my mother's house. I didn't get much done that day because when I got to her house she wanted to take a trip to an Amish run grocery store to stock up on some things.
But Friday was a different story all together. I bathed the and then made him stay outside to get dry faster. He was not a happy camper. Normally he doesn't get a bath in the winter because it is too cold for his arthritic body. But it was well over 70 degrees, so too bad so sad for the dog. Then I put one of his beds outside for him to lay on while I cleaned the carpet.
I did a lot of laundry and hung it out on the line. Haven't been able to do that in a while. Seen a lot of people walking around the neighborhood. Now today it is supposed to rain and then Sunday the temp is going to drop down again.
We get spoiled by the weather here in the Northeast. I told my mother that if the weather continues to be mild that the guy that mows the lawn for her is going to have to start much earlier this year. Unless we have a dry spring.
At least I had a good day to help my mother get some things done around the house.

If you so much as insinuate a threat toward me I will take the following actions: First, I will report the threat to the administration by sending them a copy of what you said. That's right stupids, I save everything to use against you later. Second, I will block you from everything regarding my profile.
I have done it before and will do it again. I have had numerous accounts removed because they can't play by the rules. I'm done with being threatened on this website. Some of you think it is okay and let people get away with that criminal behavior, but I will not.

For too long the media has been fueling hatred toward law enforcement in this country. Yet, if any of those same people find themselves in a situation that they need law enforcement, they don't hesitate to call for the police.
What if the Police, Corrections Officers, Deputies, Marshals and any other law enforcement agency decided to "take a day off" to show the country just how badly you need them. What kind of effect do you think that would have compared to some ignorant people protesting? Wanna test this idea?
Think of all the inmates incarcerated and what that would mean when no one shows up because we are protesting the unprecedented hatred toward law enforcement. Think of what that would mean if no one showed up when you and your family and friends are victimized because law enforcement is "taking a day off" to show you just what kind of impact that would have on your lives?
The current President is trying to address a problem that is complained about everyday in this country. People who enter the country legally are not the problem. Living here illegally, living off the welfare system, committing violent crimes, and then claiming you are the victim has mounted to an unbelievable drain on this country's resources financially and otherwise.
I worked in a prison for 10 years. During that time I saw one change that angered me to no end. Anytime a suspected illegal was arrested and brought in a prison representative would call ICE and report the information. It was standard procedure. After Obama took office, that standard procedure stopped. In fact, a prison employee responsible for calling ICE was disciplined for calling ICE multiple times one weekend after he had multiple illegals brought in by the police for various crimes. They were released with no consequences. How's that for American Justice. These are mine and your tax dollars at work, or lack thereof.
So go ahead and "take your day off". That protest means nothing to me because your are protesting Trump under the guise that it is about immigration. I'm so sick of the media covering ignorant people protesting. I'm sick of the fake news that ignorant people don't recognize as fake.
Is your life so uneventful that you have to latch on to any morsel of sensationalism out there? Get a life, get a grip and become a part of the solution and not the problem.
I Support All Law Enforcement. Blue Lives Matter Too.

The other day I made some changes to a profile I have on another site. Before I tell you what happened let me start at the beginning.
I put up a profile a few months ago on another site. The profile was as honest as I could be about me and what I was looking for. I even injected a little humor into it so as not to come off as boring and dry. I've read a lot of profiles that really need some work. Anyway, I rarely received any response. In fact, if I did receive any response it was just about my picture and nothing about my profile. So I learned that no one reads those profiles.
Then I made a few changes to my profile "story" that I thought were very amusing. Still, no one was reading the profile. The other day I decided fuck you and the you all think you rode in on and I changed a shit load of stuff that makes my profile nothing but lies.
I changed statistics and personal stuff. I changed the story part with just some stupid quotes from a TV show. Now I'm getting inundated with emails. I learned that men are only interested in getting sex for free. Furthermore, you don't even care who its from. You don't even know if there is chemistry or not. You see a few things on a person's profile and BINGO, there's your mark. Only thing is....its a lie.
You need to just admit it from the get go. You are not interested in living a truthful life, you are not interested in anything truthful about the person you contact. I have just proven that. I hope the lies you live serve you well. And I'm sorry to say, but sex is horrible with people who live a life of lies. Whether you believe it or not, those lies actually hold you back. They infect your brain in a way you can never fully understand. And great sex is not just physical, its mental too.

Boundaries!

In the last few days I have had some issues with people and their boundaries while I'm out shopping. A few days ago I went through the self scan at Walmart. I had just started putting the bags in the cart when two jackholes came up to the scanner and started scanning their stuff. I wasn't done yet! I turned to them and said, "I'm sorry that I'm wasting your time by using this scanner. Your time is so much more important than mine". Dickheads!
Twice today I've had to deal with boundaries. I was in the Post Office in line to get stamps when some ingrate comes up behind me so close that I thought it might be someone I know. So I turned to see who it was and it was some guy I've never seen before. I mean really, if he was any closer he would have been in front of me. When I tried looking him in the eye he turned away because he knew he was too close. I wanted to say, "back up bitch", but not right there in the Post Office.
Then I head to the grocery store. I needed a few things and then head to the self scanner. Again, some dumb bitch is trying to shove me out of the way before I even finish. The thing that really pisses me off is that there is an available scanner right next to me. What the fuck people! As she comes up behind me like that I turn and say real loud, " Jesus Christ....BOUNDARIES"!
What the hell is wrong with all of you. Do you not comprehend that 'arms length' is the acceptable amount of space between you and anyone you don't know? Is what you are doing more important than anyone else? Your time is the only time that is valuable?
If you don't have a lot of time, maybe you should be a grown up and plan your time and activities better. I shudder to think of the inadequate people that raised all of you. No wonder the rest of the world calls us "ugly Americans".
Learn some fucking boundaries and delay of gratification.

I lied because I'm not sure if you want to call this an infomercial or not. Anyway, I bought a Nutri Bullet. I love this thing. I like smoothies but I don't like the ones you buy. They are full of sugar and unnecessary calories.
Mine are completely controlled by me. I use Aloe water, frozen fruit, spinach, and granola. I'm thinking of using a spoonful of protein powder but i have no idea what brand to buy. Any thoughts?
I guess if I was a drinker I could make frozen libations in this thing. Also, just another thought, I could roofie someone with this thing. It really blends everything up nice and no one would taste anything unusual. Okay, that's a joke for all of you that have no sense of humor.
Well, if anyone had any doubt about this product, I can assure you that it works great.

That's what the website should have been called. I just watched the short documentary on Netflix about the "big hack". I didn't know about the site until it hit the news that someone had hacked and made public the info.
So let me get this straight. Men went onto this site looking for women to have an affair with. The real story isn't that men were looking for women to have an affair with. The real story is that the company that owned the site and others under the same umbrella were tricking men into thinking that they would get what they paid for. Instead, the Ashley Madison site developed bots to contact men so they would purchase credits in order to talk to what they thought was a real person. A gold mine! The other sites were basically set up for prostitutes.
Now if I was a man I would be furious. Now I know why men on here treat women with such utter contempt. Guess what sweetie, we're not all prostitutes. Furthermore, it was a man that came up with the idea of scamming you out of money. I digress.
Here's the stuff that made me pay attention more closely. Several experts in the "data business" believe the hack was an inside job. It wasn't just member info that was leaked. The source code, inside emails of the CEO and much more was leaked. One person stated that it seemed like someone had just dragged and copied everything to a USB drive. WOW! Someone wanted to really fuck this all up.
My personal belief is that someone on the inside was severely disgruntled and then gave the info to someone else to leak. The authorities have no clue who hacked the info or how. Someone did warn the company that owns Ashley Madison that they had some serious weaknesses with their security regarding the website.
Basically all those websites are for suckers. I have never had bots contact me here, but I have had bots contact me on other dating sites. I'm too smart for them. I do feel bad for the men that have to deal with bots. Not only bots but scammers. All kinds of scams on these websites.
