I found a hair product that actually works on my hair type. I needed something to keep my waves from being frizzy and not feel sticky or weighted down with oil. The stuff cost me $22 at the Ulta Beauty Store, but worth every penny. Redken finally made a product that works for me.
I know nobody cares about a hair product, but it's what I've got today. Sorry, not sorry, if you were looking for something deeper with more meaning. Or maybe looking for some stupid sexual inuendo, but it isn't here.
If you were looking for a liar to tell you how great you are at sex, or how great your body looks, or even how big your dick is.....well, they have services for that kind of shit. I'm not her and if that's what you want from me, get ready to pay up!

I was informed today that people do not like the sound of my voice. I can't change my voice. It sounds the way it does because of genetics. I guess it is just not one that appeases people. So now here at work contemplating looking for a new job. The process of finding a new job is so exhausting. Especially when you are feeling inadequate. It just looks like that is the road I will be taking. This isn't for me and I clearly don't fit the mold.

Is there any compelling reason for you to drive like a complete fool during a downpour? I think not!
So here is another post to try and help some of you GOOD citizens when heavy rain and flash flooding comes to your area. I can't speak for every 911 center or every police department.
From a dispatcher point of view: slow down when the heavy rain starts. The oil on the surface of the road will begin to rise and you could easily hydroplane. I know, I know, where YOU are going is so very important, but you need to slow down. Last night a driver driving at a speed that was too fast for road conditions hydroplaned and slid into another car causing a serious accident. I had to send 2 of my troopers to an AVOIDABLE accident in a torrential downpour. Not cool!. During that time 2 more accidents occur because of the same stupidity.
Maybe people don't know about hydroplaning. I learned about the basics in high school driver's ed class. Slow the fuck down!!!!!
Another aspect of heavy rain is standing water on roadways or just straight up flooding. If you should encounter either of these issues that you feel makes a road impassable, call 911!. If you call the police dept that covers that area, they are going to do the same thing, call the 911 center to report the road problem. Most police departments do not have the time or resources to close roads due to acts of nature. However, the municipality where the road or roads exist do have the time and resources to divert traffic. Call the 911 center and give the exact location of the flooding and they will notify the township/borough or the state authority that handles those road issues. The police only handle road issues when there is a crash that causes a closure. At a time when calls start coming in about vehicles that slid off the road due to hydroplaning, now people are calling the police for flooding, CALL 911!
In Pennsylvania we use the motto: Turn around, don't drown. You will only be able to do this if you slow down during heavy rain. For those idiots that crash because you were driving to fast for road conditions, I hope the police officers that show up to your crash cite you for driving too fast for the road conditions!

I may have mentioned that I work as a dispatcher for PA State Police. Due to something recent I feel the need to offer proper advice to help any of you in the future.
If EVER you have a friend or loved one that you believe is in danger of being harmed or harming themself, do call the police in the area where the friend or loved one lives or is currently located.
An example: Sibling A receives an email from sibling B suggesting suicide. Sibling A should call the police department that covers the town that sibling B resides. Sibling A can explain the situation and ask for a welfare check on sibling B and/or make arrangements to meet the police at sibling B's home to determine if there is a real cause for concern. Sibling A should not wait, EVER. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Sibling A should provide full name of sibling B including proper spelling of name, age, date of birth, physical description and any known medical/mental health problems. A description of sibling B's vehicle is very helpful. Sibling A should give the best explanation of the last time sibling B was seen or heard from and the nature of that communication. Think of people and places that are relevant to sibling B. Start calling everyone that is known to sibling B. Definitely provide information on any firearms owned or thought to be owned.
Searching for the proper Police Dept is easy. Start with Google and pick a department and call to see if they cover the area where the friend or loved one resides. If not, they may know the department that does cover that area and provide you with contact info. Never wait. Also be aware that most police departments in rural areas have fewer officers working at night than during the day and evening shifts. An active domestic is going to take precedent over a welfare check. It may be a while before the officers can check on the friend/loved one.

Back in May I moved into this rental. I had no idea about the neighbors or that the property owner would hire a different management company. The new management company wouldn't reach out to me. I only knew about them through the neighbor who has the same property owner. So I had to reach out to them to find out the name of the contact person and where I am to send the rent.
Then I get this email where I am supposed to go to the website and review the lease and sign. I agree with everything in the lease except part. The lease states that you have to have the carpet professionally cleaned when you move out. That is not happening. I own my carpet cleaner and there is no reason to pay someone to clean what little carpet there is here. What a crock of shit. I am not allowed pets and I'm the only one living here. How damn dirty can the carpet get?
The neighbors are quiet, but they are allowed 2 dogs. We share a yard and their dogs are tied out most of the day or they let them run around. Which means they are shitting on my side of the yard all the time and digging holes. So I sprayed my side of the yard with ground clear. Now its just mud from all the rain and I hope the dogs are nice and dirty. The neighbors let their dogs shit on my side but wouldn't cut the grass on my side and I refuse to cut it with shit everywhere. That's why I sprayed my side with the ground clear.
So now I am looking for a house to buy. I don't need a large house, but I need a place that has a yard so I can have a dog. The houses for sale in my area in my price range are all fixer uppers. Which basically means, SHITHOLE. I need something small but move in ready with a yard. Everything that is move in ready is too big or to pricey. I'm just one person with one income. Not made of money.
I'm basically obsessed with this right now.

I went to my favorite little country store today to buy my favorite flavor of pudding mix. It's Peach Mango in case you were wondering. This is not something I could buy at the big grocery store chains. I look on the shelf and there isn't any. I asked about it and I was told that they no longer will be carrying that flavor. Now it is Orange Dream.
So I got to thinking, you can buy pretty much any thing on the internet, why not pudding mix. So I did a search for sugar free pudding mix and I found a site from a company in Virginia that sells many products that are free. The company sells a large assortment of the usual flavors and some not so usual flavors. I bought 6 3oz bags of my choice of flavors. I chose banana, toffee, butter pecan, strawberry, cheesecake, and orange. I can't wait to try the toffee and butter pecan. I plan on serving in a glass with layers of pudding and graham cracker crumbs. I think I might put the strawberry and cheesecake flavor in one glass to get strawberry cheesecake. They have so many other flavors I want to try like hawaiian and mint chocolate chip. They even have a tiramisu flavor. All sweetened with Stevia.
Yummmmmm!

No Power

Yesterday at work we lost power around 5pm. The communications room runs off of a generator and the computers each have a battery to operate off of if the generator fails. Okay, so I can still take calls but now the air conditioning is off and the windows only allow for so much air to come through. It is still hot outside.
People are calling to complain about traffic lights being out and I tell them we already know and they will not be on until the power company turns on the power again. The power outage is widespread. Slow down and be cautious.
People act like they have never experienced a power outage before. One guy called to ask how he is to stop the automated phone messages from the power company to stop. I explained that you must listen to the entire message. It explains how to opt out. WHY ARE WE CALLING THE POLICE ABOUT THIS SHIT?
I have an elderly couple with dementia walked away from a nursing home that takes precedent over some automated phone messages that are annoying. I'm getting the same messages at the station.
I didn't realize, before working for a police dept, just how lazy and helpless people really are in this world. Do you need somebody to pump your chest and breathe for you too? No wonder humanity is doomed.
When did humanity become so helpless and why? Everything is at your fingertips. We wanted things to be easier and more convenient and now people just flat out refuse to do anything for themselves. It scares me.
Good news, the power came back on 30 minutes before the end of my shift. So I did enjoy some air conditioning for a short while before going home. And the dumb shit phone calls stopped.

Animal Cruelty?

The area where I live has an Alert FB page to alert people of various issues. Some of those are traffic accidents, construction delays, fires, police incidents, etc. One of the nice things about this alert page is when a runs away and everyone is alerted and will look out for the . Makes it easier to find them. One interesting aspect is when a pet goes missing.
Horses jump fences, goats and cows get out, and cats/dogs. Usually they are found and returned to rightful owner in a matter of just a few hours. Recently, two separate incidents were posted on this page involving dogs that were clearly dumped. Both of which happen to be Pit Bull Mix. One was dumped in a public park and the other in a small town in the area.
Usually, if someone is missing a pet or farm animal within minutes they have a post up with a pic and description and contact info. Neither of these dogs had that. No one seems to know who they belong to or have ever seen them before. I find it sad that people do this shit when we have several rescues that operate in the area and a shelter about 15 minutes away.
I don't understand why people get a pet they don't really care about and then dump them. I know I wouldn't want YOU for a parent. God help the offspring of these morons.

Anyone else take a Fish Oil supplement? I was running to the bathroom all day yesterday and last night and now again this morning. The only thing different in my diet is this fish oil supplement that I am taking to help bring down my cholesterol. Could this be the problem. I can't leave the house! I felt horrible yesterday. I have shit to do and these are the last few days of my vacation. I do not want to spend them inside. Maybe I should take it every other day. IDK
