Replacing washers is about my limit as a plumber. Anything else is a call to a professional who hopefully knows what he is doing.

I'm not a plumber but I play one on TV. Too bad we don't live closer. I'd have to see the whole shebang in order to know if I could come up with some creative solution (I'm good at that) Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Misskissin. I usually do small home plumbing myself, if required. But I'm afraid that, from afar, I'm not much help either. You are probably better served with some local assistance, Is there nobody at the home improvement store who could come out for help? Or are they all only big talkers? I hope you'll get it fixed soon.

for the cost of a plumber and service call you can buy a new mid range priced faucet assembly with sprayer. it should have all the necessary parts to make this repair, if I lived close . I am sure it could be fixed easily, just something missing, you are overlooking something. but from afar it is impossible to see. Sorry you have this problem looks like these things haunt you from time to time.. Stop by at lonlyforlove2 also see Lunch with Lonly , we get snow tomorrow Check my blog on New Community, "A photo of my big Pecker" also, " My Sunday afternoon with the kids'

What a pain. Sometimes it seems like the builder deliberately buys s**t .To be honest after that many trips for parts, I would call a plumber and just get it done. Frustrating but may be necessary

so, on the hose you took off the faucet, was there a clip you had to pull to remove it? if so you need to check to make sure you have it in the hose still or that it is still pulled back. I do a lot of plumbing so if you have questions just write me....

Plumbing is among my LEAST favorite home repairs. I once owned a house that was 50 years old, so NOTHING in the plumbing matched the currently available standards. Home repair, 9 out of 10 time*z,,, it*z sadly done on the cheap. Because of the wide-open market item*z are produced that are incompatible with each other. No Volkswagen part will fit on a Chevy least a Ford. Pipe*z, Tap*z, and fitting*z vary in adaptability to work together. Copper, Plastic and Stainless Steel are used, most have to be fitted together before You install in place, then there is the problem of the space they are going to fit into. Is there room enough. A $12.00 dollar replacement part can turn out to be a $350.00 re-tool. ][f ][ was there and could see the problem, ]['d have a pretty good idea what to do,,,, until ][ put the wrench to it and the mount crumble*z to rust, then we have a further conundrum bonus to change the WHOLE assembly out. Home repair is alway*z a gamble. ][f it*z on the cheap, then it will last just as long. ][ know exactly where Las Vegas is, if ][ take a Bus to get there, ][ may take a Limo to get home,,, or it maybe a very long walk. Think it thru,,, or flip a Quarter, Yer call. Good Luck **H*u*N***N***

Electrical I can do - airplane electrical is (a small variation) of what I do for a living. And yard plumbing - sprinklers where the idea is to get water everywhere anyway - yeah, I can do that too. Oh my friend I am so sorry your still having issues with your home. I know that the kitchen is so very important. I am so glad my hubby is a jack of all trades and master of none lol..( he really knows a lot). I would call a plumber as a last resort but I think I would just replace the whole faucet. I hope you get it fixed soon because I know how much you enjoy cooking..

Put on something sexy and call a damn plumber! Might be cheaper than you think!!
| ||

Replacing the complete faucet is the best way to fix this. That way everything is the same age and it is relatively easy to do. Stop getting all frustrated with parts. The time spent chasing the parts you could have done a replacement. I would have gladly changed the faucet as opposed to my weekend with a septic system issue. Digging in the heat yesterday to locate the box and finding someone to come out on a holiday weekend to pump it out. Ouch...give me a leaking faucet anytime.

Helping Hands ! Wish they were mine

If you think you have significant water damage, file an insurance claim. Possibly getting a new flooring and kitchen cabinets will definitely soothe the pains of the plumbing cost. Now, I want more details about the 12-play in the other plumbing.

They're usually part of a set. Easier to replace the entire faucet than making repairs where other parts of the same assembly are going to fail soon enough.

Not very adept on the infernal plumbing system my lady , sorry to say But then again, that's where you hire a professional help - you know, the kid that used to eat glue at school …. Cheers and good luck ( 12 "O" s.... lucky fellow indeed ! )

I live in a rented apartment, and was unaware I had a slow leak under my kitchen sink, unti lthe a container of cleaning supplies underneath the drain overflowed onto my kitchen floor. And although I cleaned everything up and dried the floor - it took 2 days for my landlord to fix it. Now I have grey spots on the linoleum where the wet underflooring must have grown mould.
